Crew Foundation's mission is to support CREW Network in advancing the success of women in commercial real estate through charitable, philanthropic and educational programs. The Foundation's Envisioned Future is to create a world where women and girls of diverse backgrounds have unlimited opportunities for economic and professional success. Supporting Women Today...Opening Doors for Women Tomorrow! CREW Foundation was incorporated in 1998 as a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation and is the philanthropic arm of the Network of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW Network). Ten years ago, CREW Network leaders created a philanthropic agenda for the Network to bolster the economic self-sufficiency of women and girls. CREW Network members have unselfishly pledged hard-earned dollars to support programs that benefited women and girls across North America. Career Outreach is a critical priority for CREW Network. The Foundation raises funds to expand CREWCareerZone.org as the one-stop-shop for chapters, members and future members with programs such as CREWCareers®, eMentoring™ and UCREW™. All programs are designed for chapters to replicate at the local level. Launched in 2005 to educate high school girls about career opportunities available in commercial real estate, award-winning CREWCareers® has since been implemented in 33 chapters, reaching over 4,000 girls and engaging over 3,200 CREW members! Expanding on the impetus of CREWCareers® is UCREW™, a university program developed in 2007 that takes career outreach to college students and campuses across North America. College studetns meet with professionalwomen in commercial real estate to discuss what it takes to enter and succeed in the industry. Since 1998, more that $71,000 in grants has been awarded to eleven organizations eupporting the economic advancement of women and girls. Moving forward grant-making will become a strategic tool to futher the advancement of women in our industry. Succeeding in commercial real estate careers can lead to systemic economic change and self-sufficiency for women. In 2008 CREW Foundation grated CREW Network $100,000 to seed its Scholarship Endowment Campaign to commemorate the Network's 20th Anniversary. CREW Foundation is committed to supporting CREW Network in raising the $1,000,000 endowment by 2012. Just imagine what 8,000 CREW Network members can accomplish! Together, we can make that quantum leap to advance commercial real estate down the path it is already on toward diversity and parity. We extend our sincerest appreciation to all our donors and program volunteers. Because of you, CREW Foundation supports women today and opens doors for women tomorrow.
